June 10: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 45 new cases of confirmed infections (15 imported cases, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 30 indigenous cases, 15 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 7 in Beijing municipality, 6 in Shanghai municipality and 2 in Liaoning province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Liaoning province), no deaths, and 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality). 

On June 9, 156 patients were released from hospital after being cured (12 imported cases; 144 indigenous cases, 103 in Shanghai municipality, 19 in Beijing municipality, 13 in Sichuan province, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Jilin province and 1 in Zhejiang province). 10,051 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 6.

As of 24:00 on June 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,849 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,655 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 194 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on June 9, the National Health Commission had received reports of 224,580 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 218,559 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 795 confirmed cases (including 27 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 4,144,662 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 106,051 were still under medical observation.

On June 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 106 new asymptomatic cases (63 imported cases; 43 indigenous cases, 20 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 7 in Liaoning province, 7 in Jilin province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Fujian province). 

On June 9, 548 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (33 imported cases; 515 indigenous cases, 393 in Shanghai municipality, 40 in Hebei province, 30 in Sichuan province, 17 in Henan province, 10 in Zhejiang province, 8 in Jilin province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 6 in Liaoning province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Shandong province). 5 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 9, 3,058 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 487 imported cases).  

As of 24:00 on June 9, 3,026,987 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 333,117 in Hong Kong (9,390 had died and 62,691 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 2,693,787 in Taiwan (3,584 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
