GADD saw cross-border commerce and foreign trade volume grow in 2020

The Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference was held on March 30, during which a forum was held on the cross-border e-commerce development of the Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District (GADD) to build Guangzhou into a priority destination for cross-border business.

According to GADD, its cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade volume respectively increased 17.2 percent and 119.8 percent year on year in 2020. The business volume of GADD has topped for 7 years in a row compared with other aerotropolis development districts in China.

Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone has a unique strength that it’s close to the airport. The Zone also adopted the convenient policies of Guangdong Free Trade Zone and features the functions of bonded processing, logistics and related services.

Thus far, the airport bonded zone has been connected with the bonded logistic distribution center of the China-Europe Freight Train Network. It effectively helps enterprises reduce their total costs by 52 percent.
