Line 9 of Shenzhen Metro shortens interval in peak time

According to Shenzhen Evening News, from July 28th, interval between trains on Metro Line 9 will be shortened during the morning peak time and evening peak time.

The interval of whole line will be reduced from 4 minutes to 3 minutes and 50 seconds during morning and evening peak times.

The minimum train interval from Fengmaling to Qianwan will be reduced to 2 minutes and 30 seconds during the morning peak time, while morning peak time for Wenjin to Qianwan will be extended 46 minutes. The duration of the peak will be adjusted from the original 7:12~9:15 to 6:52~9:41.

In order to increase the capacity of Line 9, Shenzhen metro is going to add 23 journeys during working days.

Since the opening of Shenzhen metro Line 9, the overall passenger flow has been increasing. The number of average daily passengers has reached 535,000, and the number of average daily passengers entering stations has reached 287,000 during the working day in June this year.
