New kindergarten opened in Hengqin with HK& Macao kids enrolled

Last week, Ziqi Experimental Kindergarten in Hengqin Island of Zhuhai opened to the public. Of all 365 kids enrolled in the first semester, 12 are from Hong Kong or Macao, and two are from foreign countries.

It is the first kindergarten that announced to open since China issued the plan for building Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone on September 5. According to the plan, the Zone will be built as a new space that provides convenience to Macao residents' life and employment.

Cooperatively built by Capital Normal University and Hengqin Social Affairs Bureau, the school, covers an area of 9294㎡ and provides 540 places for kids. Students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or other foreign countries who meet the requirements can apply.

The school draws inspiration for its name from the story of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi, an ideal companion because Zhong can always appreciate the tune played by Yu. The elements of this story are also demonstrated in campus design, together with the marine culture of Hengqin, making its style looks pleasingly elegant and straightforward.

The school is dedicated to cultivating children with various interests. Each classroom is divided into multiple areas such as a puzzle, art, role-play, science, and so on, where children can explore freely.
