GBA’s first "Specialized and Special New" Industrial Park opened in Huangpu

On December 18, the first "Specialized and Special New" Industrial Park in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was officially launched in Guangzhou Development Zone, Huangpu District, with 86 projects being completed and put into trial production. The total planned investment of these projects is about 86.1 billion yuan, and the output value (operating income) is about 156.2 billion yuan.

Covering scientific and technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, modern services, rural revitalization, people’s livelihood, infrastructure and other fields, these projects include big scientific devices for aviation tire dynamics, a pre-research project of Huiyan big data, the BeiGene Innovation Center (Biological Island), the Kangrong medicine, phase II project of Guangzhou CanSemi Technology Inc. and new energy intelligent and connected vehicles.

On the same day, five "Specialized and Special New" enterprises finished their construction phases and were put into trial production, which has absorbed a total investment of about RMB 7.3 billion and reached an output value of about RMB 15.5 billion. Furthermore, two "Specialized and Special New" enterprises parks: Beijing-Guangzhou Innovation Center and Junheng Square, also were put into use.

These five "Specialized and Special New" enterprises are Guangzhou Hexin Instrument Co, Guangzhou Fangbang Electronics Co, Guangzhou Jet Bio-Filtration Co, Guangzhou Haozhi Industrial Co and Yipinhong Pharmaceutical Ltd, all of which are bringing vitality to their specialized market.

Some products of Guangzhou Hexin Instrument Company participated in the "Xuelong" scientific expedition of the North Pole and the South Pole. The project put into trial production by Guangzhou Fangbang Electronics Company will mainly mass produce electromagnetic shielding film and flexible copper clad laminate, which will be predominantly used in 5G communication, chip packaging and other core industries.

Up to now, Guangzhou Development Zone boasts 32 outstanding“little giant” firms, accounting for 47% of Guangzhou’s total, and 12 enterprises that have been awarded the honorary title of “National Manufacturing Single Champion Demonstration Enterprise”, accounting for 75% of Guangzhou’s total.
