Nov 30: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new cases of confirmed infections (15 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Shandong province, 3 in Sichuan province, 1 in Shanxi province and 1 in Guangdong province; 3 indigenous cases in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 21 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,628 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,858 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,609 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 249 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,530 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,619 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 277 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases. 879,901 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,174 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 17 new asymptomatic cases (including 14 imported cases). 13 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 2 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases  (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 281 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 274 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 6,935 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 6,238 in Hong Kong (109 had died and 5,340 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 651 in Taiwan (7 had died and 565 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
