Guangzhou, abbreviated as "Sui", also known as "Yangcheng" and "Huacheng", is the capital of Guangdong Province. It is one of the first batch of coastal open cities in China. Guangzhou is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province and on the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta. It is the core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone, as well as China's southern gateway to the world.
