Qian Hongjie, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, recently met with Vanhpheng Saisomphou, the outgoing consul-general at the consulate of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Guangzhou.

Qian expressed her gratitude for Saisomphou's contributions during her tenure. She highlighted that under the framework of building a community with a shared future between China and Laos, Saisomphou promoted pragmatic cooperation and friendly exchanges between the two regions and facilitated mutual visits of important delegations.
