Ma Wenfeng, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, met with Bah Mamadou Djoulde, the newly appointed consul general of the Republic of Guinea in Guangzhou, and his delegation on Sept 16.

During the meeting, Ma said that 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Africa, as well as the 2026 Sino-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the forging of the China-Guinea comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The Foreign Affairs Office stands ready to work alongside the Consulate General of the Republic of Guinea to steadily upgrade all-round cooperation between Guangdong and Guinea in terms of both quality and efficiency.

Djoulde said that Guinea and Guangdong enjoy close people-to-people ties. The Guinean consulate general will fully play its role as a bridge and bond to advance pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in areas including people-to-people and cultural exchanges, economy and trade, investment, and energy, to deliver mutual benefit and win-win results.
