More and more people in Guangdong are likely to be involved in cross-border e-commerce, and the province saw fast expansion of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones.

To help people with all backgrounds to have a smooth start, a livestreaming base in Guangzhou offers elementary e-commerce training classes. This organization has now recruited more than ten students from Africa.

"I have been taking classes for e-commerce here for a month already, and I’ve really gained a lot from it," said Joseph Muwonge a trainee from Uganda, who has been working in international logistics in Guangzhou for five years.

He added that e-commerce live-streaming has really broadened his horizons. He shared his experience of being a live streamer for the first time in class in which he was too nervous to say anything. "The teacher eventually came to my rescue and gave me a lot of advice on wording and posture, and they also suggest that we could do sketch to make the live streaming more playful."

In addition to learning how to show oneself and products in front of the camera, one can also have video editing and photoshop courses here. The classes can be taken both offline and online.

In 2021, the import and export scale of Guangzhou-Africa trade reached 84 billion RMB. With the continuous improvement of Africa's infrastructure, and the expansion of new business models and formats such as cross-border e-commerce exports, it is expected that Guangzhou-Africa trade will keep its growth momentum.
