June 15: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 77 new cases of confirmed infections (23 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Fujian province, 5 in Guangdong province, 2 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Hunan province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 4 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Hunan province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 54 indigenous cases, 25 in Beijing municipality, 14 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 13 in Shanghai municipality and 2 in Liaoning province, including 9 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 8 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Shanghai municipality), no deaths, and 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality). 

On June 14, 47 patients were released from hospital after being cured (16 imported cases; 31 indigenous cases, 12 in Beijing municipality, 12 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Liaoning province, 2 in Sichuan province and 1 in Jilin province). 6,807 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 2.

As of 24:00 on June 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,953 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,741 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 212 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on June 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 225,054 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 218,879 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 949 confirmed cases (including 16 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 4,190,779 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 119,089 were still under medical observation.

On June 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 158 new asymptomatic cases (93 imported cases; 65 indigenous cases, 38 in Beijing municipality, 10 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 6 in Jilin province, 4 in Liaoning province, 2 in Hebei province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Yunnan province). 

On June 14, 327 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (66 imported cases; 261 indigenous cases, 189 in Shanghai municipality, 23 in Zhejiang province, 22 in Liaoning province, 7 in Sichuan province, 5 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 4 in Jilin province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Henan province, 2 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Yunnan province). 13 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 4 imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 14, 1,980 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 467 imported cases).  

As of 24:00 on June 14, 3,337,414 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 333,830 in Hong Kong (9,391 had died and 62,950 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,003,501 in Taiwan (4,403 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
