Huang Ningsheng Attends the Singapore National Day Reception

On Aug. 17, Vice Governor Huang Ningsheng was invited to attend the Singapore National Day reception held by the Singapore Consulate General in Guangzhou.

Huang Ningsheng firstly sent warm regards and best wishes to all Singaporeans working, studying and living in Guangdong. In recent years, the cooperation between Guangdong and Singapore has become increasingly close in the fields of economic and trade investment, scientific and technological innovation, education and training, wisdom urban construction, cultural tourism, financial services, health care and etc. Great breakthroughs have been made in the construction of the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, a bilateral flagship project between Guangdong and Singapore. Since the establishment of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council in 2009, high-level exchanges of visits have been continued, and business contacts have become ever closer. Huang pointed out that Guangdong is deepening reform in an all-round way, vigorously implementing the innovation-driven development strategy and striving to achieve the goal of "Pioneer Nationwide at Four Fronts " and "Two Important Windows". Since Guangdong and Singapore are both with complementarities and great cooperative potential, Guangdong is willing to work with Singapore to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Chua Teng Hoe, consul general for Singapore in Guangzhou, said that Guangdong has been a Chinese province with the highest trade volume with Singapore, and the two places has close cooperation in economy and trade, investment, tourism and talent training. He looks forward to close cooperation and friendship with China in future.
