Ouyang Weimin Attends Celebration Reception of the 40th Anniversary of China-Oman Diplomatic Relation

On Sept. 13, 2018, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Ouyang Weimin attended upon invitation the celebration reception of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Oman in Guangzhou.

Ouyang Weimin expressed, over the past 4 decades since the establishment of China-Oman diplomatic relation, both countries have always been with mutual respect, trust and support, which sets a good example on how countries of different economic types cooperate and achieve win-win results, and on how countries of different cultural traditions communicate and learn from each other. Guangdong and Oman enjoy a time-honor friendship, and maintain close communication on trade and culture exchange. The import and export volume between Guandong and Oman in 2017 reached 686 million dollars. He noted that Guangdong is opening up further to the outside world, speeding up for a new all-around opening-up pattern. Guangdong is willing to continue to consolidate the practical cooperation with Oman in fields of interconnectivity, economy, trade and culture within the framework of the China-Oman joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative, enhance the level of cooperation for common developments and a further mutual friendship.

Minister of Information of Oman Abdulmonam Mansoor Al Hasani expressed that the friendship between Oman and Guandong has been long and steady since ancient times and will be enhanced to a new level with the coming inauguration of the Sohar Ship Memorial on Sept. 20^th.
