Xu Ruisheng Attends Italian National Day Reception

GUANGZHOU, June 1, 2018, Xu Ruisheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, attended on invitation the Italian National Day Reception held by the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou.

Xu first expressed greetings and best wishes to the people who are working, studying and living in Guangdong. He said that Guangdong and Italy enjoy a long-standing friendship, and the cooperation between Guangdong and Italy in economy, trade, culture, education, tourism, technology, innovation and other areas are very close and fruitful. 

In 2017, the total volume of import and export between the two sides reached 66.71 billion yuan, a rise of 12.6% over the previous year. Guangdong will open to Italy further and try to establish a more lawful, international and convenient business environment. On the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, Guangdong is willing to work together with Italy to seize the opportunity of building Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to cooperate with Italy in more areas.

Laura Egoli, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou, said that 2018 is the China-Europe Year of Tourism, and she called for further exchanges and cooperation with Guangdong Province in economy, trade, tourism, education, agriculture and other areas.
