GUANGZHOU, May 7, 2018, Chen Liangxian, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, met with Ali Zasiri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China.
After expressing welcome to Ali Zasiri, Chen pointed out that in recent years, China and UAE have a close relationship in terms of economy and trade and the prospects for cooperation are bright.
At present, Guangdong endeavors to break new grounds in opening-up on all fronts, which provides a precious opportunity for further cooperation between Guangdong and UAE. It is hoped that both sides will seize the opportunity of the Belt and Road Initiative to accelerate the process, make good use of the 15th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) as a platform and the UAE Consulate General in Guangzhou as a channel, strengthen cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, infrastructure, manufacturing, culture and tourism for a closer friendly tie of cooperation.
Ali Zahili said that UAE hopes to enhance its cooperation with Guangdong in energy, manufacturing, high-tech and other fields to achieve mutual benefit and development.
The meeting was attended by Gan Zhengmeng, Deputy Director General of the Provincial General Office, Liu Chenzi, Deputy Director General of Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office and Yao Dehong, member of the Party Committee of the Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Director General of Guangdong Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Bureau.
