Ouyang Weimin Meets with Ambassador of Turkey to China

GUANGZHOU, April 2, 2018, Vice Governor Ouyang Weimin met with Ambassador of Turkey to China Emin Jonan.

Ouyang noted that in recent years, China and Turkey have developed close relations and witnessed frequent economic trade exchanges. Under the framework of friendship between the two countries, new progress has continuously been made on the cooperation between Guangdong and Turkey. 

Ouyang pointed out that the total volumn of import and export between Guangdong and Turkey accounted for 15% of the total trade volume between China and Turkey in 2017. As Turkey boasts beautiful scenery and rich mineral resources, there is a lot of opportunities for cooperation.

Ouyang said that at present, Guangdong is building a new pattern of comprehensive opening in accordance with the deployment of the Central Government. Taking advantage of the opportunity of Guangdong's large-scale exhibition platform, Turkey can strengthen economic and trade exchanges with Guangdong, and continuously promote cooperation in the fields of investment, tourism and stone processing, seeking mutual benefit.

Emin Jonan expressed that Guangdong and Turkey have close contacts in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, civil aviation passenger transportation and investment. He hopes that the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future.
