Ouyang Weimin Meets with Inditex Guests

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 14, 2018--Ouyang Weimin, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province met with Yago Vera,  Managing Director of Inditex Group Greater China.

Ouyang said that Guangdong is a leading province in economy and consumption in China, and Spain is an important trading partner of Guangdong. There is vast cooperation space between the two sides in the fields of economy and trade. As textile and apparel is an important industry in Guangdong's economy, Inditex should leverage on the huge market of China including Guangdong province, consider setting up a design and research center in Guangdong, embed more traditional Chinese culture, customs and aesthetics into the apparel design, and produce more fashionable products that meet the needs of Chinese and Asian consumers. 

Ouyang hoped that both Guangdong and Inditex could offer the best to each other, enhance the cooperation in the whole industry chain of garment, textile and fashion goods, and jointly expand the international market.

Yago Vera said that Guangdong is one of the most important procurement markets for Inditex in the world. In the future, Inditex plans to set up a new logistics center in Guangdong and continue to strengthen its cooperation with the province.
