GUANGZHOU Nov. 7, 2018--Vice Governor Xu Ruisheng attended upon invitation and delivered a speech at the Czech-China Business and Tourism Forum.
Xu said that the cooperation between China and Czech has achieved remarkable results and there is tremendous potential for cooperation between the two sides in the context of sound bilateral relations and the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, Guangdong will further strengthen its cooperation with Czech in advanced manufacturing, environmental protection, biopharmaceuticals, and etc. Particularly, Guangdong hopes to enhance collaboration with Czech in machinery and equipment manufacturing by introducing more advanced technologies, capital and human resources. The two sides should continue to expand trade cooperation, especially in cross-border E-commerce.
Before the forum, Xu met with the Czech delegation led by Marta Novakova, Minister of Industry and Trade. He said that Guangdong attaches great importance to the exchanges and cooperation with Czech and hoped that both sides will work together to promote all-round exchanges and cooperation through sports and cultural events such as South China Historical Trail Orienteering Championship.
Novakova said that the Czech Republic hopes to further strengthen cooperation with Guangdong in areas such as trade and investment, tourism and energy, and make direct flight between Czech and Guangzhou a reality at an early date.
