Guangzhou's Yuexiu unveils new city image video on Qixi Festival

Yuexiu district of Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province, premiered its brand-new city image film A City or More across all major online platforms on the Qixi Festival. This offers a comprehensive portrait of the 2,000-year-old urban core and its unique blend of time-honored cultural heritage, bustling livelihood and forward-looking development vitality.

Structured along four narrative chapters based on the themes "Where life thrives", "Where people meet", "Where history endures" and "Where (the) future begins", the film captures the district's multi-dimensional charm through vivid daily scenes and iconic landmarks.

It showcases bustling commercial clusters such as Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Dongshankou Commercial Area, alongside centuries-old cultural relics including Liurong Temple, Guangxiao Temple and the Sacred Heart Cathedral (Stone House).

It also features key revolutionary sites carrying Guangzhou's red historical legacy, while depicting signature local events like the Spring Festival flower fair to reflect the rich folk culture.

In addition, the film highlights Yuexiu's steady industrial upgrading in the GBA Life and Health Industry Innovative Zone and digital economy, with the Yuexiu Xinguang Computing Center serving as core infrastructure to drive new quality productivity.
