Chen Guangjun, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong province, met in Guangzhou with a visiting delegation from Argentina's La Rioja province, led by Duilio Jose Madera, head of the Ministry of Education, and Nicolás Arias, secretary-general of Club Atlético Huracán on July 30, to discuss bilateral friendly exchanges and soccer cooperation. 

Guangdong and La Rioja signed a friendly exchange and cooperation memorandum in 2022, with deepening collaboration across economy, trade, culture and sports.

Both sides expressed willingness to leverage Argentina's expertise in soccer concepts, training systems and event operation, and carry out practical cooperation in youth training as well as player and coach exchanges.

The delegation also held talks with local sports authorities and toured the Guangzhou Youth Football Training Base during the visit.
