China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Vietnam Youth Study Tour to Guangdong fosters deeper bilateral ties

Guangzhou hosted the 2026 Vietnam Youth Study Tour to Guangdong from Aug 24 to 28, bringing together 44 young representatives from Vietnamese government agencies and universities.

The delegation's itinerary was organized around three themes: revisiting the traditional "comrades and brothers" friendship through visits to revolutionary heritage sites; experiencing Chinese modernization firsthand via high-tech and infrastructure tours in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; and exchanging insights on economic and social development through seminars and youth dialogues. Throughout the program, Vietnamese participants expressed a strong desire for more platforms of mutual exchange and pledged to contribute to the bilateral friendship.

Chen Guangjun, vice president of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said the visit was a vivid practice of implementing the key consensus reached by the two countries' top leaders. Guangdong and Vietnam, geographically close and with strong people-to-people ties, preserve memories of revolutionary forebears who fought side by side. He called on the youth to carry forward the torch of friendship, deepen understanding through mutual learning, and join hands for a shared future.
