China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Guangdong-Vietnam friendship strengthened at Vietnam National Day reception

Zhang Shaokang, vice-chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the Vietnamese National Day reception held in Guangzhou by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou and delivered a speech on Sept 9 .

Zhang extended sincere greetings and best wishes to Vietnamese friends working, studying and living in Guangdong. He said Guangdong and Vietnam are geographically adjacent and culturally bonded, and have achieved fruitful cooperation in multiple fields.

This year marks the first year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and Vietnam's new epoch of national development. Guangdong is further advancing the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, making efforts toward Chinese modernization.

Looking ahead, Guangdong stands ready to work with Vietnam. The two sides will utilize existing mechanisms and platforms, deepen industrial synergy, expand cooperation in emerging sectors, and enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges based on the traditional friendship.

Guangdong will contribute local efforts to building a higher-level China-Vietnam community with a shared future, said Zhang.
