Time of establishment of friendly relations: November 2012  

Overview:

Minsk Oblast is located in central Belarus, covering an area of 40,000 square kilometers with a population of approximately 1.56 million. Important cities in the region include Borisov and Maladzyechna. It is the most developed area of Belarus in terms of industry and agriculture.

Relations with Guangdong:

Since the establishment of ties between Guangdong province and Minsk, the two sides have carried out fruitful exchanges in areas such as economy and trade, science and technology, culture, and tourism, along with exchanges at various levels.

In 2017, Semyon Shapiro, the then governor of Minsk, led a delegation to Guangdong and exchanged views with the then-governor Ma Xingrui on promoting the construction of the China-Belarus Industrial Park and deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two friendly regions.

In 2020, an online promotion and discussion session for the China-Belarus Industrial Park was held in Guangzhou, engaging representatives from political and business circles to foster practical cooperation between the two sides.
