Huang Ningsheng, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, attended the Kuwait National Day reception in Guangzhou on Feb 24.

The event, which was hosted by Kuwait's consul general in Guangzhou, saw Huang deliver a speech underscoring the robust trajectory of China-Kuwait relations.

Huang noted the deepening friendship between Guangdong and Kuwait, marked by consistent growth in bilateral trade. He highlighted the rising reputation of made-in-Guangdong products in Kuwait, attributing this to stable import and export trends.

Looking ahead, Huang emphasized Guangdong's push into strategic sectors like new energy, artificial intelligence, and low-altitude economy. This shift in Guangdong's manufacturing industry brand, from "Made in Guangdong" to "Smart Manufacturing in Guangdong", is set to open new avenues for cooperation, he said.

He extended an invitation to Kuwait and other global partners of Guangdong to take advantage of the development opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which would benefit both sides.
