China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Guangdong leads top-tier pack with 34 at 2026 World Robot Conference

Guangdong province made a strong showing at the five-day World Robot Conference 2026 in Beijing from Aug 19 to 23, with 34 participating enterprises, placing it among China's top-tier provincial participants by number of exhibitors.

At this global event, Guangdong has showcased a full industrial chain ecosystem, presenting a closed-loop model spanning upstream core components, midstream robot bodies, and downstream application scenarios.

The province has assembled China's most complete robotics ecosystem, boasting the nation's highest cluster density in dexterous hands and tactile sensors, which come closest to the essence of human interaction.

From core components such as AI algorithms and digital twins to embodied intelligence platforms, Guangdong's enterprises have brought together the full length of the robotics value chain at a single conference.

Beyond the exhibition floors, Guangdong enterprises are also making a strong showing at the World Robot Contest. Seven Shenzhen-based companies, including Ubtech, Pudu Robotics and Orbbec, have fielded teams to compete in the Co-Robots Challenge.

As robots emerge as the new battleground for industrial competition, Guangdong has set its sights on a higher prize: securing the commanding heights of next-generation intelligent manufacturing.
