The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Guangdong province, is experiencing accelerated growth as an increasing number of enterprises and merchants from Macao have chosen to establish their businesses there over the past three years.
On the afternoon of September 3, the innovation and technology transfer base of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST(GZ)) and the international innovation and entrepreneurship community of the Nansha Science City were unveiled at Yuexiu iPARK Guangdong-Hong Kong Smart Valley in the Nansha District.
This year marks the ninth anniversary of the establishment of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, a milestone that reflects significant progress in the region's economic and institutional landscape.
Hengqin has been taking significant strides in its integration with Macao by launching various livelihood projects designed to improve the lives and employment opportunities of Macao residents.
On August 28, the tunneling shield for the "sea-crossing" segment of the Nansha-Zhuhai (Zhongshan) Intercity Railway successfully began its journey from Zhongshan to the Ershichong Tunnel Shaft in Guangzhou's Nansha District.
"I have experienced the rigor and professionalism of the mainland's judicial system while participating in the hearing of Hong Kong-related cases. The facilities and equipment of the Nansha Court are very advanced and modern," said Au Chi-ho, a juror from Hong Kong.
