Qian Hongjie meets with Japanese delegation in Guangzhou

At the invitation of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Nagoya, an 18-member Japanese delegation from the middle region of Japan visited Guangdong from Jan 12 to 17.

On Jan 13, Qian Hongjie, vice-president of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (GPAFFC), met with the delegation in Guangzhou.

Qian welcomed the delegation and highlighted the long-standing and fruitful exchanges between Guangdong and Japan, especially in the middle region. She noted that Aichi Prefecture and Guangdong resumed exchange programs last year, enhancing youth understanding and friendship. The cities of Nonoichi in Ishikawa and Shenzhen in Guangdong have a 40-year history of educational exchanges, contributing significantly to people-to-people ties. Qian emphasized the importance of deepening mutual understanding and trust between the two nations.

During their visit, the delegation toured cultural sites and high-tech enterprises in Guangzhou. They also visited Shenzhen and Zhuhai to better understand the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
