On Jan 17, Xuwen county's "Sea of Pineapples" Run & Guangdong International Friendship Run commenced, attracting participants from around the world. The event transformed Xuwen's pineapple fields into a vibrant global runway.

Guided by the theme "Running Across the Sea of Pineapples, Friendship Transcending Mountains and Seas", and without timers or rankings, runners set their own pace, weaving through a stunning green landscape. The air carried the sweet scent of pineapple as participants moved along paths flanked by rows of fruit plants and white windmills.

An international run featured participants from Belt and Road countries, highlighting the spirit of friendship. The event was also family-friendly, as parents and children encouraged each other along the route. "This is more than just a run; it feels like a walk for the soul — under the windmills, amidst the fruity scent, on the red soil, I've rediscovered a lost sense of ease and joy." reflected one participant.
