The Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province held its 2025 work summary conference meeting on Jan 30.
Ma Wenfeng, director of the office, delivered the 2025 work report and outlined key tasks for 2026, while conveying the guidelines of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee.
Ma said the office had fulfilled its diplomatic responsibilities, supported major national diplomatic events in Guangdong, and advanced high-quality opening-up, providing strong support for the province's modernization drive.
He stressed that 2026 marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) and the year of APEC meetings in Guangdong. The office will strengthen political guidance, enhance its professional capabilities, and better serve national overall diplomacy and Guangdong’s high-quality development.
Ma urged all staff to stay committed, professional and united, and to improve the quality and influence of local foreign affairs work.
The meeting was presided over by Chen Guangjun, deputy director of the office. Cang Feng, deputy director of the office, announced the list of outstanding staff, and Ma presented certificates to distinguished foreign affairs workers.
