The 2026 "Her Power" Exploration Tour was held in Foshan on March 12, organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and hosted by Foshan municipal foreign affairs bureau and Foshan Public Diplomacy Association.
Nearly 30 female officials from foreign consulates in Guangzhou visited key enterprises and cultural venues in Foshan to learn about women's roles in industrial development, cultural inheritance, and innovation, as well as achievements in the women's cause in Guangdong.
Qian Hongjie, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, accompanied the delegation throughout the tour. Wen Xi, vice-mayor of Foshan, hosted a banquet for the guests, while Li Zhenghua, president of Foshan Public Diplomacy Association, joined part of the activities.
In the speech, Qian said that women have become an indispensable force driving Guangdong's high-quality development. She expressed hope for closer cooperation with foreign consulates in Guangzhou to advance gender equality and women's all-around development.
Wen welcomed the foreign guests and said Foshan would strengthen exchanges with women worldwide.
The delegation visited Nanxing Rainbow, a food processing company, and exchanged with its founder, Deng Huijuan, on women's employment and welfare. They also experienced local culinary skills and the intangible cultural heritage of Xiangyun Silk at Shunde Polytechnic University and Shunde Xiangyunsha International Fashion Industrial Park.
