With full-route embankment filling and beam prefabrication both finished, the project will shift to pavement laying, traffic line marking, signage installation, and landscaping and lighting works ahead of the planned opening.

Once open, the expressway will expand road capacity across northeastern Guangdong, helping to improve connectivity in the region's road network.
