Organizers of the 140th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, are launching an international medical experience event for global buyers for the first time, allowing them to experience international Chinese medical services.
The innovative approach will help create a dual-scenario model of in-hall displays and out-of-hall experience tours, breaking the traditional boundaries of international trade shows, the organizers said.
The international medical services section inside the Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, will display medical products, services, and trade chains in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Outside the hall, there will be three premium international medical experience tours available to give buyers an immersive experience in health management, high-end medical services, and traditional Chinese medicine.
Widely regarded as a barometer of China's foreign trade, the biannual fair is scheduled to open its 140th session on Thursday, with over 210,000 international buyers pre-registered.
The fair aligns with new trends in foreign trade, with 64 percent of the 32,000 participating companies utilizing new technologies, such as the industrial internet and artificial intelligence, the organizers said.
