On Jan 18, the "Celebrate the Chinese New Year in Guangdong" event, co-organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, took place at the White Swan Hotel. 

Around 80 consul officers and their family members from 41 consulates in Guangzhou attended the event, where they enjoyed a traditional Cantonese dinner and experienced the unique customs and flavors of Lingnan. 

The event was filled with a festive atmosphere, and the foreign guests enthusiastically participated in various activities. They practiced calligraphy, received "gold coins" from the "God of Wealth", experienced the art of Cantonese Embroidery and Guangcai, and even tried their hand at making traditional Chinese New Year dishes. Throughout the dinner, a series of symbolic Cantonese dishes were served, each carrying a special meaning. Through this event, the foreign guests gained a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of Chinese New Year in Guangdong.
