Chen Guangjun meets with Ghana's consul general in Guangzhou

Chen Guangjun, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, met with Ghana's consul general in Guangzhou, on March 5.

Chen welcomed the consul general to his new role and provided an overview of Guangdong's economic and social development. He highlighted the friendship between China and Ghana, noting that their relationship was elevated to a strategic partnership last year. The two countries was offered broader prospects for cooperation.

As this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ghana, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province looks forward to working with the Ghana to enhance exchanges and cooperation in trade and investment, medical education, cultural tourism, and high-level visits.

Ghana's consul general in Guangzhou expressed a desire to promote cooperation between Ghana and Guangdong in trade and investment, modern agriculture, tourism, healthcare, and technology. He also aims to encourage more Guangdong enterprises to invest in Ghana, create job opportunities, and benefit the people of both regions.
