The 2024 Belt and Road Summit was held in Hong Kong from September 11 to 12, focusing on the theme "Building a Connected, Innovative, and Green Belt and Road."

John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered a speech at the Summit, emphasizing that as China's most open and international city, Hong Kong is perfectly positioned to play a pivotal role in realizing the visionary goals of the Belt and Road Initiative.

He emphasized Hong Kong is the only world city that enjoys both the China advantage and the global advantage.

"As a 'super-connector' and 'super value-adder', we provide world-class infrastructure and professional services that facilitate trade and enhance projects," he added.
