In an interview with China Daily, Huang Renwei, executive vice-president of the Fudan Institute of Belt and Road & Global Governance, shared his observations on Guangdong's development during his visit to Shantou and Guangzhou. He noted that the new quality productive forces are driving the province's growth. "Guangdong boasts a large number of emerging industries that have proactively embraced artificial intelligence and digitization," he said. "China's advanced energy, clean energy, low-carbon industry and zero-carbon industry has led the world," he added at the 2024 Understanding China Conference, which concluded in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, on December 4.
