China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Guangdong governor, P&G CEO affirm robust partnership

Wang Weizhong, governor of Guangdong province, met with Jon Moeller, the chairman, president and CEO of consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), in Guangzhou on Feb 28.

Wang welcomed Moeller, saying that their meeting highlighted the mutual commitment to expanding collaboration between Guangdong and P&G.

This year, Guangdong is focusing on accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system with greater international competitiveness. The province has cultivated eight trillion yuan level industrial clusters and boasts a complete supply chain in the daily consumer goods sector, integrating raw materials, R&D, manufacturing, and brand marketing.

P&G, a world-leading consumer goods company, has long maintained its Greater China headquarters in Guangdong. Moeller, the company's CEO, expressed optimism about China's market potential and reaffirmed P&G's commitment to the region.

He pledged to expand the company's business in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, increase R&D investment, and support Guangdong's high-quality development goals.

Moreover, Moeller shared his personal connection to Guangdong, calling it his "second hometown" and thanking the province for its support.

Zhang Guozhi, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and deputy governor of Guangdong province, also attended the meeting.
