Zhang Guozhi, deputy governor of Guangdong province, met with Sergei Abramov, the first deputy chairman of the Khabarovsk territory government, Russia, and his delegation in Guangzhou on March 17.
Zhang noted that since the establishment of friendly relations between Guangdong and Khabarovsk in 2012, exchanges at all levels have become increasingly frequent. He highlighted the thriving cooperation in economic and trade affairs, legislation, tourism, and youth exchanges.
Zhang expressed a desire to work closely with Russian counterparts and emphasized the need to deepen exchanges in trade, investment, culture, tourism, education, and science and technology, and to promote the implementation of more cooperation projects.
Zhang welcomed more Russian enterprises to visit the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for inspections. He suggested strengthening industrial connections between Guangdong and Khabarovsk to achieve better cooperation outcomes.
Abramov recognized Guangdong as an important partner of Khabarovsk. He expressed a strong desire to further explore cooperation potential, strengthen personnel exchanges, and continuously enhance mutual understanding between the two regions.
