Zhang Hu meets Vietnamese deputy prime minister to bolster China-Vietnam relations

Zhang Hu, executive vice-governor of Guangdong province, met with Nguyen Chi Dung, deputy prime minister of Vietnam, and his delegation in Guangzhou on March 19, further deepening exchanges between Guangdong and Vietnam.

The geographical proximity and cultural similarities between Guangdong and Vietnam serve as important links. Zhang said that Guangdong consistently plays a key role in fostering traditional friendship and pragmatic cooperation between China and Vietnam.

In recent years, exchanges between Guangdong and Vietnam have intensified in high-level visits, coordination mechanisms, economic and trade cooperation, key projects, and friendship cities' interactions.

Guangdong is committed to deepening and solidifying the China-Vietnam community with a shared future. The province hopes to collaborate with Vietnam to boost exchanges, elevate economic and trade cooperation, and attain even better outcomes.

Nguyen praised Guangdong's economic and social development achievements. He emphasized Vietnam's eagerness to deepen cooperation with Guangdong in economic and trade investment, cultural and people-to-people bonds, and scientific and technological innovation.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening personnel exchanges at all levels and enhancing traditional friendship.
