Zhang Guozhi meets with foreign consular corps in Guangzhou

Zhang Guozhi, deputy governor of Guangdong province, met with the foreign consular corps in Guangzhou on April 9.

Zhang expressed gratitude on behalf of the provincial government for the consulates' support in Guangdong's economic and social development.

She emphasized the consulates' role as a bridge and called for continued efforts to promote the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. She also highlighted the importance of sharing development experiences to enhance mutual understanding and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Zhang noted that the consulates can fully utilize their role to continue promoting deeper practical cooperation between their home countries and Guangdong across various sectors, including industry, science and technology, economic and trade affairs, culture, sports, and tourism. 

Ebolo Emmanuel, consul general of the Republic of Congo in Guangzhou and head of the consular corps, responded that the consular corps will actively promote exchanges and enhance pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
