Zhang Guozhi meets Russian official to deepen cooperation

Zhang Guozhi, deputy governor of Guangdong province, met with Sadovnikov Dmitry Dmitrievich, the first deputy chairman of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, Russia, and his delegation in Guangzhou on April 24.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Guangdong and the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.

Zhang said that despite the geographical distance, cooperation between Guangdong and Russia has been deepening in terms of economy and trade, science and technology, culture, people-to-people bonds, and youth exchanges.

She expressed hopes of working with Russia to implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and deepening pragmatic cooperation in trade, industry, culture, tourism, education, and science and technology.

Zhang welcomed Russian enterprises to visit the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for inspections and to participate in exhibitions and conferences.

Dmitrievich expressed a desire to further deepen cooperation with Guangdong in infrastructure construction, building materials, and talent cultivation.

He invited Guangdong enterprises to explore investment opportunities and market expansion in Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, aiming for common development.
