Huang Guoping, a second-level inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, recently met with a delegation from the China Friendly Cultural Association in Mauritius in Guangzhou.
Huang welcomed the delegation and expressed sincere gratitude and respect for the positive contributions made by the association in promoting friendship and cooperation between the two regions.
He highlighted Guangdong's proximity to Africa, with its ports as some of China's largest entry points for African visitors. As a starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, Guangdong has a long history of personnel, economic, and trade exchanges with Africa.

They plan to continue strengthening friendly cooperation with the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to facilitate more opportunities for Guangdong companies to enter the African market and further enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.
The delegation mainly consisted of representatives from the Mauritian Chinese business community.
During their visit to Guangdong, they toured Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Meizhou, visited companies in fields like new energy vehicles, high technology, intelligent equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and smart agriculture to gain insights into the province's latest advancements in artificial intelligence and high technology, while also strengthening ties with relevant sister cities.
