China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Hungarian former diplomat bridges China-Europe trade from Guangzhou

"Guangzhou holds a very special place in my heart," said Előd Tasnády, former Hungarian diplomat and chairman of the Hungary Chinese Business Development and Incubation Center, in a recent interview. Having lived in Guangzhou for three years, he described the city as "warm, inclusive, and full of surprises and vitality".

Tasnády recalled being captivated by Guangzhou's unique blend of history and modernity during his tenure there. "Almost every day, I discovered something new about the city," he said. This experience inspired him to make a career shift from diplomacy to entrepreneurship. He now focuses on fostering business ties between Chinese and Hungarian enterprises.

As head of the incubation center and CEO of CCTA Hungary-China, Tasnády leads a team of former diplomats with China experience, utilizing their cross-cultural expertise to help Chinese companies enter the European market. He emphasizes Hungary's growing role as a "key gateway" for Chinese businesses expanding into Europe, pledging his center's support to facilitate their growth.
