The International Airport Expo 2025 opened on Sept 8 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from over 170 airports and 190 companies across 70 countries and regions.
This global aviation event, the first of its kind held in China, features a combined ''three conferences and five exhibitions'' format, combining high-level forums with cutting-edge industry showcases.
Key segments include the ACI Airport Experience Global Summit — making its debut in China — and the 10th China Airport Services Conference, focused on service innovation and travel experience enhancement.
Covering 40,000 square meters, the expo highlights advancements in smart travel, AI-based flight scheduling, digital twin systems, green equipment, and intermodal air-rail solutions.
Guangzhou's role as host underscores the city's strategic position in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's aviation landscape. Home to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, which recorded 76.37 million passengers in 2024, Guangzhou is a key node in global aviation networks and is accelerating the development of a world-class airport cluster alongside Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and other cities in the area.
The expo runs through Sept 11, serving as a vital platform for global dialogue, technological exchange, and collaborative growth in civil aviation.
