China's Diplomacy in the New Era
Globally famous influencer explores Guangzhou in 1st China visit

On Sept 17, Khaby Lame, better known to many as "speechless brother", the influencer who won global fame with his "shrug" meme, arrived in Guangzhou to begin a two-day trip.

His first stop was Bruce Lee's ancestral home in Yongqing Fang, where he dressed as Nezha, a beloved figure from Chinese mythology. There, he trained with a Wing Chun master. ''I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan. I grew up watching his movies!'' Lame said, immediately recognizing the wooden training dummy. Deeply inspired, he said, ''I would love to come back to learn more Chinese kung fu.''

Lame also dressed in a traditional Cantonese opera costume and performed with local artists. He was enthralled by the powerful drumming and lively lion dance, clearly enjoying Guangzhou's rich cultural heritage.

Beyond cultural experiences, he visited the 600-meter Canton Tower, marveling at its height and beauty. He also enjoyed summer fun at Chimelong Water Park, describing it as ''Amazing! Really nice!''

Lame also visited Chimelong Water Park for a fun-filled summer of water activities. The exciting experience made a strong impression on him, who exclaimed, "Amazing! This is really nice!" after coming out of the water.

"My trip this time is a bridge of culture between Europe and China," said "speechless brother" on his first-ever visit to China. He hoped to return to China in the future to savor more cuisine and experience more of China's traditional culture.
