A major agricultural technology and investment promotion forum was held in Guangzhou on Sept 23, bringing together around 130 representatives from government, business, and agricultural sectors to explore collaboration opportunities between Argentina and China.

The event, co-hosted by the Guangzhou International Cooperation Center and the Argentine Consulate General in Guangzhou, spotlighted Argentina's capabilities in agricultural technology, livestock, and food production.

Silvia Gaveglio, Argentine consul general in Guangzhou, emphasized the country's advanced agritech ecosystem and invited Guangzhou enterprises to invest in sustainable agriculture.

Officials from Argentina's Secretariat of Agriculture and the National Agricultural Technology Institute launched AgTech.AR, a national platform that links international partners with Argentine startups and producers.

The forum enabled business-to-business matchmaking, with several Guangzhou companies showing interest in visiting Argentina to explore further cooperation in agricultural machinery, biotechnology, and crop science.

As part of the "World Meets GZ" series, the event reinforced Guangzhou's role as a key hub for international agricultural trade and innovation.
