Qian Hongjie, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong province, attended the Saudi Founding Day reception hosted by the Saudi Consulate General in Guangzhou on Feb 25 and delivered a speech.
In her remarks, Qian reviewed the positive development of China-Saudi relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1990. She said that under the strategic guidance of leaders from both countries, bilateral exchanges in trade, culture, and other fields have deepened.
Qian highlighted Guangdong's alignment with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 in areas including infrastructure construction, new energy, and digital transformation. She stated that cooperation has evolved to focus on production capacity collaboration, digital energy solutions, and the development of overseas service hubs.
Qian expressed Guangdong's willingness to work with Saudi Arabia to enhance friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in these fields for the benefit of both peoples. She also reaffirmed Guangdong's commitment to high-quality development and a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period.
