Guangdong, Brazil-China Friendship Association look to future cooperation

Chen Guangjun, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong province and vice president of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, met with Marcilio Guedes Drummond de Sousa, secretary general of the Brazil-China Friendship Association, in Guangzhou on Feb 6. 

The two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges between Guangdong and Brazil in trade, culture, healthcare, and other fields. Chen spoke highly of the association's active role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and Brazil. He said that with 2026 designated as the China-Brazil Year of Cultural Exchanges, it presents an opportunity for both sides to deepen practical cooperation and contribute to bilateral friendship.

Sousa expressed hope for deeper collaboration with the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office to integrate resources and carry out more mutually beneficial programs that serve the interests of both peoples.
