Guangdong province has reaffirmed its commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation with Vietnam as the two sides marked the 76th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Speaking at a reception in the province on Feb 3, Qian Hongjie, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, highlighted the province's strategic role as a key frontier in China's cooperative efforts with Vietnam.
Qian said that Guangdong and Vietnam have achieved fruitful results in high-level political exchanges, institutional mechanisms, trade and investment, key infrastructural projects, and sister-city relations.
Standing at a new historical starting point as Guangdong advances its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), the province expressed readiness to work with Vietnam to deepen the China-Vietnam community with a shared future, building on their long-standing traditional friendship.
