He Rusheng, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong province, attended the reception commemorating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Mexican Consulate General in Guangzhou on March 6.
In his speech, He reviewed the office’s development history and expressed gratitude to the former Mexican consuls general and their teams for their efforts in enhancing exchanges and cooperative initiatives between Guangdong and Mexico.
Highlighting Guangdong's role as the host for the upcoming 2026 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, he said Guangdong is ready to welcome delegates from Mexico and other economies. He reaffirmed a commitment to partnering with the Mexican consulate to strengthen the longstanding friendship and to deliver more practical cooperation.
Jesus Seade Kuri, Ambassador of Mexico to China, also addressed the event. He stressed the deep-rooted historical friendship between Guangdong and Mexico, asserting that the consulate will continue to serve as a key bridge for further cooperation in trade, investment, culture, tourism, and other fields between the two sides.
